It is important to the staff at Channel Islands Aviation that our customers get the most they possibly can out of their flying experience. This is where our Fly-ins come into play. CIA holds three to five Fly-ins a year and they are designed specifically to show pilots what their licenses are really for, to have fun! In addition to our Annual Mexico Fly-in, we do day-trips in the local area and venture to neighboring states for weekend trips. Fly-ins often include pilot briefings where certain topics are covered for the trip; density altitude, mountain flying, landing on dirt strips have been some of the topics to name a few.
Our Fly-ins are like going on guided tours with piloting your own airplane, instead of taking the airlines! Hotel, restaurant, and activity reservations are made prior to departure by CIA's staff to make your experience that much more rewarding. Various activities have taken place on fly-ins such as catamaran cruises, lavish brunches, speed boat rentals, and sunset dinner cruises just to name a few. Fly-ins are a great way to get to know others who share the same passion of flying. In addition, these trips are perfect for new Private Pilots who are looking to take their first major cross country!
